The Beginning of the "Fans Forever Memorial Wall"

It all began in August, 1987 while we were watching TV and individuals from around the world were paying tribute to the 10th Anniversary of "Elvis Presley's" death.

We noticed how many people loved him from around the world. A lady was interviewed by the media and asked "How long she had been a fan"? The lady replied, "For as long as she could remember". Then the media asked "How long will she be a fan?", and the lady replied, "Forever, until I die."

This generated our first concept, to build a cemetary for "Fans of Elvis" to be buried in association with his Elvis name.

One day while sitting at a restaurant, across the street from Graceland, we watched individuals write their names on the wall in front of Graceland. The next day we were eating lunch and watched a power washing machine wash all the names off the wall in front of Graceland. We couldn't believe our eyes! Those individuals had traveled so far and wrote their names only to have them washed off!
That is when we came up with the idea to create a "Fans Forever Memorial Wall". It would allow individuals to have their names engraved on a granite wall, like the "Vietnam Memorial Wall", in Washington, D.C.

Then our search was on for the perfect location to construct the first section of the "Fans Forever Memorial Wall", and see how many true "Die-Hard" Elvis fans would follow our dream, by having their names and / or Fan Clubs Names etched on the "Fans Forever Memorial Wall".

This lead us to East Tupelo, Mississippi, where we found 15.6 acres of land known as "Elvis Presley Heights". This land is one of the many places that Elvis Presley played on as a child!

At presen,t this is our site location.
